Assistant Bridge Engineer

An Assistant Bridge Engineer supports senior staff in designing, analyzing, and inspecting bridges and related structures, performing calculations, preparing plans/reports, ensuring compliance with codes (like IRC/AASHTO), managing site inspections, and liaising with teams, crucial for delivering quality infrastructure projects on time and budget within the broader civil engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Assist in structural analysis and design of new bridges, retaining walls, and rehabilitation projects using software (e.g., SAP2000) and standards (IRC, AASHTO).
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Site Supervision: Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments of existing structures; monitor construction quality and safety.
• Project Support: Assist in project planning, scheduling, budget management, and coordinating with other engineers and stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 3+ years of experience.
• Technical: Proficiency in structural analysis software, knowledge of design codes (IS, IRC), AutoCAD, strong analytical skills.
• Soft Skills: Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, time management, and adaptability.
