About the Role

Highland Healthcare Center is hiring an Assistant Business Office Manager to support daily business office operations in our long-term care facility. This position works closely with the Nursing Home Administrator and AR Director and is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and experienced in healthcare business office functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and process Medicaid pending applications
• Prepare and submit write off requests per collection policy
• Prepare daily deposits
• Oversee accounts payable functions
• Oversee payroll processes
• Supervise business office staff
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and VA billing
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, and VA billing practices
• Understanding of basic accounting and office systems
• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
