We are looking for a competent Purchasing Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily purchasing operations of the company. This position is focused around receiving and processing paperwork in a professional and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities

  • Work with buyers to optimize inventory rotation
  • Prepare purchase orders to maintain inventory levels
  • Ensuring purchase orders and other purchasing documents are in the best interest of the company
  • Managing lead times of products to ensure product levels are stocked at all times
  • Adjust pricing to reflect product cost
  • Filing documents
  • Maintain trusting relationships with vendors, customers and colleagues

Skills

  • Proven experience as a purchasing assistant or in another relevant administrative role
  • Knowledge of supply chain work flow
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
