Gorilla Mind (gorillamind.com) is a fast-growing Energy Drinks and Supplements brand in the fitness and health space. We develop and sell pre-workouts, proteins, nootropics, energy drinks, and other lifestyle products designed to help people maximize their mental and physical performance.

Gorilla Mind is looking for a motivated Assistant Buyer to join our growing team in Boise. In this role, you’ll support the entire procurement process, from sourcing raw materials, packaging, and promotional items to managing purchase orders and vendor relationships. You’ll work closely with our supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure products are delivered on time, inventory levels are optimized, and procurement workflows run smoothly. Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Order Management
  • Assist in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and promotional items needed for product manufacturing.

  • Support team members with issuing RFQs, evaluating vendor quotes, and negotiating pricing/terms.
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) within our ERP, tracking delivery timelines to ensure on-time fulfillment.
  • Follow up with vendors to confirm orders and flag any delivery or pricing discrepancies.

Vendor & Supplier Relationship Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records and documentation.

  • Support supplier onboarding and manage day-to-day vendor communications.
  • Help evaluate vendor performance and escalate issues as needed.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure procurement aligns with product launches and shipping schedules.

Data Management & Reporting
  • Prepare reports for spend analysis, vendor performance, and procurement forecasting.

  • Support finance and planning teams with budgeting and projections.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify areas to streamline procurement workflows and propose improvements.

  • Support implementation of purchasing tools and systems.

Inventory Control & Replenishment
  • Monitor inventory levels across all product categories to ensure adequate stock for direct-to-consumer and retail channels.

  • Collaborate with warehouse and fulfillment teams to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Support forecasting efforts by providing procurement-related inventory data to planning and finance teams.
  • Help manage reorder points and suggest replenishment quantities based on sales velocity, lead times, and upcoming campaigns or launches.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, operations, and internal systems.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain support (consumer goods or manufacturing preferred).

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and purchase order management.

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills for spend tracking, forecasting, and inventory reporting.
  • Familiarity with supply chain workflows, vendor management, and procurement processes.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience. The total compensation package may include performance bonuses and other applicable incentives.
