Elite Skillz Sports & Fitness is looking for an Assistant Summer Camp Director to help lead our high-energy, fast-paced Summer Camp program!
Are you experienced in childcare, summer camps, or youth programs and ready to step into a leadership role?
Elite Skillz Sports & Fitness is hiring an Assistant Camp Director to help lead our Summer Camp Program. This role is perfect for candidates with experience as a:
- Camp Counselor Lead
- Childcare Supervisor
- Afterschool Program Leader
- Youth Sports Coach
- Daycare or Preschool Teacher
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Assistant Camp Director will be responsible for supporting and leading daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional, fun, and safe camp experience for all campers and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support daily camp operations
- Supervise, coach, and hold team accountable to Elite Skillz standards
- Sports (basketball, soccer, etc.)
- Karate, tumbling, parkour
- Games, art, and STEM activities
- Ensure a safe, structured, and high-energy environment
- Manage camper behavior using positive, proactive strategies
- Manage daily schedules, transitions, and check-in and pickup process
- Maintain a clean, organized, tour-ready facility at all times
- Monitor supplies
- Camp Director
- Team members
- Lead by example and help uphold the Elite positive and professional team culture
- Assist the Camp Director in planning and executing daily camp schedules, activities
- Supervise camp staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all participants.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards by maintaining first aid readiness, managing emergency procedures, and supervising health protocols including childcare regulations.
- Facilitate communication between coaches, parents, and children to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
To qualify for our AMAZING team, you MUST:
- Be 21 years or older
- Have experience working with children ages 4–12
- Have strong leadership and group management skills
- Have reliable transportation
- Be organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Be outgoing, energetic, and positive
- Be a strong communicator
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Own a smartphone or computer for communication
Required Skills:
- Experience in teaching, coaching, or managing kids programs
- Ability to organize and lead engaging lessons and activities
- Strong classroom/group management
- Proficient in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Canva, Excel (tracking, schedules, organization)
- Ability to adapt and think quickly on your feet while remaining calm and positive
- Demonstrated ability to lead activities involving teaching, tutoring, sports coaching or theater arts with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.

Schedule & Availability (REQUIRED)
- May 26 – July 31 (10 weeks)
- Monday–Friday within 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Must be available for at least 9 camp weeks (no exceptions)
