Assistant Category Manager

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Assistant Category Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the category management process, focusing on optimizing product assortments and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, data analysis, and vendor management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain product and vendor databases with precision and accuracy.
• Assist the buying team in sourcing, supplier coordination, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Provide personal assistance to senior management, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
• Handle secretarial duties such as organizing meetings, taking minutes, and managing communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless commercial operations.
• Ensure timely updates of product information, pricing, and promotional details in the system.
• Support retail initiatives, including new product launches and category expansions.Qualifications and Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in database management.
• Prior experience in retail, FMCG, or grocery operations is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Locally available candidates are highly preferred.Job Requirements:
