Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy Development

  • Analyze data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends in the footwear category.
  • Create and implement a long-term strategic plan for the growth and development of the footwear category.
  • Identify emerging trends, new opportunities, and shifts in consumer preferences within the footwear market.
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products and optimize the product assortment accordingly. Category, Pricing & Promotions
  • Lead category ranging, pricing, and promotional strategies across all sales channels (online, offline, etc.).
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns to drive sales and improve customer engagement within the footwear category.
  • Monitor and analyze competitors’ pricing and promotional activities to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with overall company objectives and profitability goals. Merchandising & Product Positioning
  • Lead the category management projects to optimize ranges, including planning and implementing merchandising strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and brand teams to ensure effective product positioning and visibility in the market.
  • Ensure that the footwear category is correctly positioned to maximize its visibility and appeal to target customers.
  • Collaborate with the design, creative, and marketing teams to develop compelling visual merchandising strategies.

Collaboration with Key Teams

  • Work closely with the Brand Manager and Key Account Managers to expand product categories and drive cross-functional growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional strategies and drive consumer awareness.
  • Partner with the operations team to ensure the timely availability of products and smooth supply chain execution.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer feedback and enhance the product offering.

Budget and Revenue Management

  • Develop and manage the budget for the footwear category, ensuring revenue targets and margins are met.
  • Monitor category performance, analyzing sales data and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure profitability by carefully managing costs, inventory levels, and sales margins. As a successful candidate, what you’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of marketing and sales operations processes and best practices.
  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets, forecasting trends, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Experience with creating and executing pricing strategies and promotional plans.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for growth and product optimization within the category.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of category strategy development, ranging, and pricing.
  • Strong decision-making skills based on analysis and data, with the ability to take calculated risks to drive growth.

Expected years of experience 5 years Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Core Competencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,593.50 - ₹625,367.67 per year
