MyFlight LLC is a growing flight training organization committed to developing skilled, well-rounded pilots through high-quality instruction and efficient operations. We specialize in taking people from zero experience to the cockpit of their own personal aircraft. MyFlight works with high-value training clients on personalized and premium flight training in ultra-modern Diamond DA40NG, DA42, DA50, and DA62 aircraft out of KORL. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Flight Instructor ready to step into a leadership role as an Assistant Chief Instructor.

Job Description

As an Assistant Chief Instructor, you will continue to perform standard instructor duties while providing strategic leadership and oversight across flight training and dispatch operations at MyFlight. If interested, the Assistant Chief Instructor may provide pilot services to aircraft owners, management services, delivery assistance, and aid in ferry flights. Strong leadership and teamwork skills are a must. Some flexibility is required during high operational periods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and mentoring lead instructors and their teams, identifying training deficiencies, delivering structured guidance and corrective direction, and enforcing consistency in training methods and standards in alignment with FAA ACS and MyFlight procedures.
  • Develop standards and evaluation criteria for stage checks, oversee checkride preparation and scheduling, and ensure aircraft and students are fully prepared.
  • Manage dispatch oversight — including developing dispatcher schedules, monitoring SOP compliance, serving as lead dispatcher, and assisting with the hiring and onboarding of new dispatchers and instructors.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training systems and the Operations Manual

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1,000 hours total time with 500 hours of dual given.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII/MEI) with relevant experience as a Lead Instructor
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of FAA regulations, ACS standards, and flight training best practices
  • Ability to identify performance issues and provide structured, actionable feedback
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diamond Aircraft experience
  • Prior experience in flight school operations or management
  • Experience with dispatch or scheduling oversight
  • Track record of developing strong instructors and pilots

Schedule and Expectations:

  • Full-time schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break daily)
  • Alternating weekend on-call availability: Must be reachable and able to arrive at the airport within 1.5 hours if needed
  • Must maintain high standards of professionalism, leadership, and instructional quality
