The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a confident, compassionate leader to serve as our Child Care Center Assistant Director. In this role, you’ll guide our team, support families, and ensure our program runs smoothly day-to-day. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management
- Support in hiring, training, supervise, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment
- Schedule staff and manage coverage to maintain required ratios
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities
Program Oversight
- Ensure implementation of a high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum
- Monitor classroom environments and teaching practices
- Promote children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
- Plan, promote and implement annual fundraisers and events
- Work alongside United Presbyterian Church administration and staff
Compliance & Licensing
- Ensure compliance with all state and local childcare licensing regulations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Prepare for and manage licensing inspections and audits
- Implement health, safety, and emergency procedures
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication
- Address parent concerns and support family needs
- Organize family events and community outreach initiatives
Administrative & Financial Management
- Oversee enrollment, admissions, and waitlists
- Manage budgets, billing, and financial reporting
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and facility needs
- Develop policies and procedures to improve operations
Pay: $20.15 - $29.08 per hour
