Assistant Childcare Director

Assistant Childcare Director (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Flexibility is essential for this role.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly flexible Assistant Childcare Director to support daily operations, mentor teaching staff, and help maintain a high-quality early learning environment. This position requires someone who can adapt quickly, step in where needed, and support the center during varying operational demands.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of childcare experience
  • CDA, TCC, or related degree required
  • Strong knowledge of BFTS rules and regulations
  • Experience with Quality Rated standards and compliance
  • Flexible schedule and availability required
  • Ability to adjust to changing needs, staffing, and classroom support
  • Professional, dependable, and reliable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example

Compensation:

  • Base starting pay: $16/hour
  • GA PDS Level pay increases:
  • ---Level 4: +$3/hour
  • ---Levels 5 & 6: +$4/hour
  • ---Level 7: +$5/hour
  • ---Level 8: +$6/hour

Pay based on credentials and GA PDS level.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

  • Do you have at least 5 years of childcare experience in a licensed childcare setting?
  • This position requires a high level of flexibility. While the regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM, earlier start times may occasionally be required to support staffing or operational needs. The role also requires stepping into classrooms and adjusting duties as needed. Are you able to consistently meet these flexibility requirements?
