Assistant Civil Engineer (Design & Estimation)

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Highway Designer/Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a background in Civil Engineering and 0–3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure projects at the Bhubaneswar Office.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma/MTech in Civil Engineering
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and estimation
• Strong understanding of cost estimation, quantity Calculation, rate analysis, and BOQ preparation
• Proficiency in roadway design software tools (e.g., MX Road, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, etc.)

Key Responsibilities(Quantity Surveyor / Estimator):

• Accurately calculate quantities and prepare cost estimates for civil and infrastructure projects.
• Analyse rates and prepare detailed BOQs in line with project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with design and execution teams to ensure cost-effective planning and procurement.
• Assist in tender documentation and bid preparation
• Support project budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities(Highway Designer):

• Execute design tasks for roadway and civil infrastructure projects, from concept through to final design.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Guide and support junior engineers, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
• Coordinate project activities, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and quality control.
• Liaise with subcontractors, internal teams, and support staff to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain strong client relationships and stay informed about upcoming opportunities and potential collaborations
