ASSISTANT CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Summary

Provides psychotherapy for patients with psychiatric disorders, psychological tests, assessing mental function and evaluation under the supervision of Clinical Psychologist.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assess patient IQ, brain function, mental ability and stability.
  • Performs psychotherapy for patients who suffers psychiatric disorders through series of psychotherapy sessions in liaison with the treating physician.
  • Performs psychotherapy for patients who suffer severe physical illness and start developing psychiatric symptoms.
  • Evaluates the psychotherapy outcome and writing reports to monitor the progress of the patient mental health situation.
  • Actively participates in relevant research work of the Department and other Medical Departments.
  • Attends departmental academic activities and relevant symposia.
  • Follows all Hospital's policies and procedures.
  • Participates in self and others education, training and development as applicable.
Education

PhD, or master's degree in clinical psychology is required.

Experience Required

Five (5) years with PhD, eight (8) years with Master's Degree of training in specialty, sub-specialty and post graduate training experience is required.

Other Requirements (Certificates)

Current registration from country of origin in Clinical Psychologist and Saudi Commission for Health Specialists (SCFHS) license is required.
