Assistant Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Commercial Lines Account Manager supports the Property & Casualty team by delivering timely, accurate, and professional service to clients and internal stakeholders. Working under the guidance of the Client Service Manager, this role is responsible for policy processing, account support, and administrative coordination to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and a high level of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Process policy endorsements and maintain follow-up activities within the agency management system

Prepare renewal documentation, including spreadsheets and supporting reports

Generate, distribute, and manage vehicle ID cards
-
Support assigned small commercial accounts by assisting with quoting, binding coverage (when appropriate), and maintaining accurate account records

Communicate with clients to gather, verify, and clarify underwriting and policy information
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy files
-
Enter and manage policy details in AMS360, including coverages such as General Liability, Auto Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Property, and Package policies

Process Owners & Contractors Protective (OCP) policies and Railroad Protective (RRP) policies
-
Assist with premium audits and related documentation

Manage renewal workflows, including client outreach and certificate processing

Process policy changes as directed by Account Managers

Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, mail processing, and document preparation

Provide backup support for front desk and phone coverage as needed

Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned by leadership

Maintain strict confidentiality of client and company information
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (State of Michigan) required

Minimum of 1 year of commercial insurance experience preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience with AMS360, ImageRight, or similar agency management systems preferred

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, carriers, and internal teams

Working Environment:

Normal office environment with little, if any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Evening or weekend work hours may be occasionally required.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Options)
