Trinity Residential is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to support the daily operations of one of our residential communities. This role is ideal for a driven property management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences.

The Assistant Community Manager plays a key role in operational support, rent collection, resident relations, and team collaboration to ensure the community meets Trinity Residential’s high standards of service and performance.

Position Summary

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing daily property operations, maintaining compliance, enhancing resident satisfaction, and achieving financial and occupancy goals. This position also serves as a leadership presence on-site and supports the overall success of the community team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day community operations to ensure smooth and efficient performance

  • Support resident retention efforts through positive communication and engagement initiatives

  • Oversee rent collection, post payments, issue late notices, and follow up on delinquencies

  • Support leasing activities including scheduling tours, processing applications, and preparing lease documents

  • Ensure lease and renewal paperwork is completed in accordance with company standards

  • Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining organized lease files and compliance documentation

  • Maintain accurate resident files and financial records

  • Provide superior customer service to residents and prospective residents

  • Track and evaluate advertising effectiveness and client traffic

  • Collaborate with leasing staff to meet occupancy and marketing goals

  • Assist the Community Manager in ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed

  • Foster a positive living environment through proactive conflict resolution and follow-up

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the community

Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience:
1–2 years of experience in community management, leasing, or customer service preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Entrata, or RealPage

  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g., promotional materials, small equipment, resident packages). Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site within a residential community and primarily operates in an office setting, with regular property walk-throughs.
