Job Summary and Qualifications

• 
  Position Summary:The Assistant Controller performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within thephilosophyand overall plan at RMC. Directs and oversees phases of the AccountingDepartment ,including,budgeting, accounts payable, month end close process, balance sheetreconciliation ,cost report preparation, and specialprojects. Performsmonth end analyses/entries related to discounts/contractualand physician transactions. The Assistant Controller displays positive support for the values and mission of RMC.

  Licensure/Certification/Registration:Nonerequired.CPA or MBA preferred

  Education:Bachelorsdegree in accounting or equivalent

  Experience:3 years hospital/healthcare accountingexperience; 2years supervisory experience

  Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:Must have effective verbal and written communicationin order tocommunicate in a clear, concise manner. Demonstrateproficiencywith computer systems and spreadsheets. Mustpossessstrong supervisory and coordinator/organizational skills. Must bedetailoriented and strong technical resource.
