Assistant Controller / Controller

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller / Controller to lead and strengthen our accounting function within a growing organization.

This leadership role requires strong full-cycle accounting experience and the ability to prepare accurate financial statements while building scalable systems and developing team members. The position will actively participate in month-end close and financial operations while driving process improvement, documentation, and operational discipline.

Retail or inventory experience is beneficial but not required. Strong full-cycle close experience and financial statement preparation are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Financial Operations

• Lead and actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Own fullcycle accounting processes from journal entries through financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and reconciliation accuracy.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthend close.
• Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

This is a hands-on role — the Assistant Controller / Controller will remain directly engaged in core accounting activities and close execution.

Preferred (Not Required) Experience

• Experience in retail, inventorybased, or multilocation environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Experience operating in growing or evolving organizations.
