ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a detail-driven, people-focused Assistant Controller / HR Manager to play a key role in both our financial operations and human resources functions. This is a high-impact position that partners closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient processes, and a positive employee experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Accounting & Financial Management
- Partner closely with executive management and the Corporate SVP of Finance.
- Oversee accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly close; assist with monthly financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including AR, AP, inventory, fixed assets, and bank accounts.
- Review and approve journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain AR reports, including sales, open invoices, and aging.
- Supervise Accounting Associate(s) and support AR/AP functions as needed.
- Process customer payments, credit cards, deposits, credits, and returns.
- Resolve vendor and internal account discrepancies.
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements.
- Assist with annual audits and tax document preparation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintains worker claims and accident reports.
- Maintains company human resources records, assists new employees with enrollment procedures.
- Collects timecards for bi-weekly payroll processing, prepares payroll reports, and enters payroll information.
- Maintains building access Key fob information, programming, and access records.
- Assist management with budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Assists with special projects as required.
Human Resources & Administration
- Coordinate job postings, respond to applicants, and schedule interviews.
- Partner with PTI HR consultants and UPG HR on hiring, payroll, employee relations, and separations.
- Maintain employee records and assist with new-hire onboarding and benefits enrollment.
- Collect and process bi-weekly payroll timecards and reports.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or higher, or 4–5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
- Strong background in accounting and payroll operations.
Technical Skills
- Accounting software experience (AccountMate preferred).
- Payroll systems (ADP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
