Do you love words, theology, and the details that make great publishing possible? Tyndale House Publishers is seeking an Assistant Copyeditor to support our Bibles & Alliance team. In this mission-critical role, you will help ensure the accuracy, clarity, and excellence of biblical and reference content that serves readers around the world.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented editor with a deep knowledge of Scripture, a passion for precision, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to God’s Kingdom through publishing.

What You'll Do

• Copyedit and proofread Bible, reference, and related materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy of Scripture quotations
• Review page proofs and compare manuscripts to typeset files; prepare clean files for Production on schedule
• Coordinate projects with freelance and in-house copyeditors, providing guidance and feedback as needed
• Apply Tyndale’s editorial standards and style guidelines across all assignments
• Collaborate with the Bible Team Leader and editorial team to support product development and publishing timelines

Skills and Qualifications Needed

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent editorial experience
• Strong copyediting and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent command of English grammar and usage
• Thorough knowledge of the Bible and evangelical Christian thought
• Organized, self-disciplined, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and relational skills in a collaborative environment
• Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
