Job Title: Assistant Cost Controller
Job Summary
The Assistant Cost Controller supports the Cost Control team in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project or operational costs. The role requires strong academic performance, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in monitoring and controlling project costs for engineering/construction activities.
- Support preparation of budgets, BOQs, cost estimates, and project cost reports.
- Track material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and project teams for accurate cost tracking.
- Monitor project progress and report cost variations or overruns.
- Maintain project cost records, invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Support quantity take-offs and verification of work progress for cost control purposes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support efficient resource utilization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory (Civil/Mechanical Engineering preferred). and strong academic records.
- 1 - 2 year of relevant UAE/GCC experience in cost control, project coordination, or engineering-related roles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
