Assistant Custodian

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Custodian to join our team. As a Assistant Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our students, staff and community.

Responsibilities:

• Clean Classrooms and Hallways
• Dustmop floors
• Change trash
• Mop floors
• Clean restrooms
• Answer calls on radio
• Coordinate floor scrubbing at least 3 times a week
• Maintain clean classroom desk
• Clean stairs
• Check around doors, recycling, pencil sharpners for dust and debris
• Move items with wheels to dust and clean
• After school activities - assist with setup
• Assist other custodians with cleaning

Requirements:
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and respond to inquiries or requests

Note: This is a paid position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
