Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Daycare Teacher/Floater! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on childhood development, preschool activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Engage children in educational activities, playtime, and social interactions that promote emotional and cognitive development
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Help supervise children during outdoor play, meals, nap times, and transitions throughout the day
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and cooperation among children
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all safety protocols are followed and first aid procedures are readily accessible in case of emergencies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members
