Assistant Design Engineer

Job Title: Assistant Design Engineer
Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Experience: 2–3 years
Industry: Injection Molding Tools / Mold & Die Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing injection molding tools and components as per project requirements.
• Prepare and update 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
• Support the design team with documentation, BOM preparation, and revision control.
• Work on basic PowerPoint and Excel tasks for reports, presentations, and project tracking.
• Coordinate with senior designers, production, and toolroom teams to ensure smooth execution of design changes.
• Help in maintaining design files, technical records, and project documentation.
• Review and update drawings based on customer feedback and internal process needs.

Key Skills Required:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of injection molding tools and related components.
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel (basic formulas, formatting, reporting).
• Understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T (basic level).
• Ability to handle documentation and maintain proper records.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in tool design or mold manufacturing industry.

Additional Attributes:

• Ability to work under guidance and support senior designers.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Organized, disciplined, and eager to grow in design engineering.
