Position Overview:

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate overseas with vendors
• Source fabrics and trims by understanding current trends related to our customer
• Develop blouses, prints, embroidered fabrics, and all different types of embroidery artwork by creating product packages to send to vendors
• Provide technical sketches/CADs to patternmakers
• Have extensive knowledge of Photoshop, illustrator and excel
• Source new dye colors per season and dye samples for the showrooms
• Create tech packs or detail sheets with all garment related information
• Create purchase orders for fabrics and trims needed for collection
• Create line-sheets with filled in sketches, style numbers, garment names, and fabric content
• Prepare for fittings by gathering all of the samples and paperwork and updating information as needed with any changes.
• Organizing samples and fabrics to prepare for design meetings while also creating boards and making garment sketches
• Manage RLM by adding all design samples into the system and pushing it to production
• Understands the status of all styles from development through production by communicating with the patternmakers and production team to maintain work flow and the progression of the styles.
• Oversees communication with sales or merchandising team to help develop special request for department stores
• Other duties as assigned.

Accountability:
This position is accountable for the efficient follow through on the entire design process from taking direction from head designer, working closely and guiding sewer on garment sewing details and finishing of the garments as well as working closely with patternmakers to ensure garment is made correctly and in a timely manner.

Pay is based on multiple factors, such as qualifications/skills/experience, geography, and state and local wage laws. In addition, bonus and/or commission and benefits including healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and product discounts may be offered.

Range for the position is $23 to $30 per hour
