The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lake Charles is seeking an Assistant Director of Communications. This position will support the Director of Communications in the development and implementation of comprehensive public relations and communication strategies to promote the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Lake Charles. This role will assist in ensuring consistent and effective messaging across various communication channels. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with the Director on strategy formulation, content creation, and the execution of communication initiatives, contributing to the overall outreach and engagement efforts of the Diocese.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation and dissemination of all communications materials.
• Edit and create new content for social media platforms.
• Website management and assist with development.
• Work with local media outlets and reporters on diocesan events.

Qualifications:

• Practicing Catholic
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related a field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and proficient in social media platforms.
• Some ability in photography and videography.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
