Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing daily daycare operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all classrooms and activities
• Support classroom teachers with curriculum implementation, behavior management, and classroom management strategies
• Supervise staff to promote a positive, collaborative work environment focused on high-quality childcare and early childhood education
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and health protocols at all times
• Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills
• Engage with parents and families to provide updates on children’s progress and address any concerns promptly
• Lead emergency response procedures, including first aid administration and safety drills, maintaining a secure environment for all children

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and infants
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or supporting staff teams
• Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Passion for caregiving, nurturing young learners, and fostering inclusive environments that support diverse needs

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
