Assistant Director of Food And Beverage

Position Summary:

The Assistant Food & Beverage Director supports the overall management and operation of all food, beverage, and/or event operations. This role will ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, and strong financial performance. The Assistant Director plays a key role in supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and coordinating daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily food, beverage, and event operations for 5 event venues across the Triad
  • Manage, supervise, and support front and back of house staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction are consistently met
  • Monitor staffing levels and labor costs to align with business needs and budgets
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control measures
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and service standards
  • Collaborate with sales, coordination, catering vendors, and event teams to execute successful events and promotions
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in food and beverage management and/or hospitality leadership
  • Proven experience managing and leading teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and rotating schedules based on business needs.
  • Required to work onside events, including setup, execution, and breakdown responsibilities.
  • Flexibility is essential as hours will vary depending on event schedule and operational demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in catering, hospitality, and/or large-scale event operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems and hospitality management software
