Position Summary:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Director supports the overall management and operation of all food, beverage, and/or event operations. This role will ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, and strong financial performance. The Assistant Director plays a key role in supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and coordinating daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in overseeing daily food, beverage, and event operations for 5 event venues across the Triad

Manage, supervise, and support front and back of house staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management

Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction are consistently met

Monitor staffing levels and labor costs to align with business needs and budgets

Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control measures

Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and service standards

Collaborate with sales, coordination, catering vendors, and event teams to execute successful events and promotions

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Qualifications:

4-6 years of experience in food and beverage management and/or hospitality leadership

Proven experience managing and leading teams in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

Experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and rotating schedules based on business needs.

Required to work onside events, including setup, execution, and breakdown responsibilities.

Flexibility is essential as hours will vary depending on event schedule and operational demands.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred

Experience in catering, hospitality, and/or large-scale event operations
-
Familiarity with POS systems and hospitality management software
