Assistant Director of Marketing

The Assistant Director of Marketing supports the Vice President of Marketing in executing VetClaims.ai’s marketing strategy and managing day-to-day marketing operations. This role helps coordinate campaigns, manage marketing projects, and collaborate with media and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand growth. The position plays an important role in supporting lead generation, campaign performance, and audience engagement while helping scale marketing initiatives that support the company’s mission of serving veterans.

Job Description

The Assistant Director of Marketing plays a key role in supporting the execution of VetClaims.ai’s marketing strategy and daily marketing operations. This position works closely with the Vice President of Marketing to coordinate marketing campaigns, support brand initiatives, and ensure marketing efforts align with company growth goals. The role requires strong organizational skills, leadership support capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including media, sales, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Vice President of Marketing in executing company marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and launching marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, email, and advertising channels.
  • Manage campaign timelines, project schedules, and marketing deliverables to ensure initiatives are completed on time.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including media, content, sales, and leadership to maintain consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Assist with development and organization of marketing materials, promotional content, and campaign assets.
  • Monitor campaign performance and help prepare reports on marketing metrics and campaign effectiveness.
  • Maintain organized marketing documentation including campaign records, creative assets, and project plans.
  • Support vendor coordination, marketing tools, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Assist with marketing logistics for events, promotions, and company initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, efficiency, and campaign performance.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Assist the Vice President of Marketing in implementing strategic marketing initiatives and expanding marketing operations.
  • Help oversee day-to-day activities of the media and content teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Provide guidance and coordination support to marketing coordinators, content creators, and media personnel when needed.
  • Assist with planning and maintaining marketing content calendars and campaign schedules.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Sales, Fulfillment, and Veteran Success to ensure marketing supports overall company growth.
  • Support onboarding and training of new marketing team members as the department expands.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.

Marketing Performance Metrics (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by the following performance indicators:

  • Increasing qualified lead generation through marketing campaigns.
  • Monitoring and improving campaign performance metrics such as engagement, impressions, and click-through rates.
  • Supporting efforts to reduce cost per lead (CPL) through efficient campaign management.
  • Improving content engagement across social media and digital platforms including views, shares, comments, and watch time.
  • Supporting improvements in lead-to-client conversion rates.
  • Contributing to increased brand awareness and visibility through marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in marketing operations, campaign management, or marketing coordination.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with digital marketing platforms and social media campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.

Salary

$100,000 - $1,300,000 per year
