Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), where you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional resident care and operational excellence within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing daily nursing operations, ensuring smooth shift management and staffing coverage.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including nurse management and supervising experience to promote a motivated and compliant team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and emotional needs.
  • Review medical records, documentation, and medical terminology to maintain accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure proper medication administration, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and adherence to Medicare guidelines.
  • Monitor EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) documentation for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation review processes to uphold standards of care and legal requirements.
  • Lead efforts in shift management, ensuring adequate staffing levels while maintaining high-quality resident care.
  • Support compliance with physiology and anatomy knowledge requirements to ensure safe patient handling and treatment procedures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by participating in staff training on medical terminology, care protocols, and documentation standards related to nursing administration.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies or hospice care environments.
  • Strong background in nursing management with supervising experience in a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practices including care plans, resident’s <PERSON>;, MDS assessments, HIPAA regulations, and Medicare requirements.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems used for medical records management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively and supervise diverse teams.
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes.
  • Ability to navigate acute care situations confidently while maintaining a compassionate approach to resident care.

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 42.0 per week
