Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our Skilled Nursing Department. Salary may vary depending on experience. RN or LVN License is required.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (*confirm with hiring manager) + 7 day on-call rotation every 4 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Models a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
Staffing On Call Rotation
Maintain good attendance record
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff (management staff only)
Monitor residents for changes in condition, ensure MD, and family, are notified and appropriate documentation is reflected in the medical record
Assess residents initially and annually and complete resident service plans on an annual or as needed, basis
Maintains the Residents Roster and Acuity Levels within the department (i.e., State Boards, QA monitor)
Review and follow-up all consultant reports in a timely manner
Reviews monthly physicians orders and ensures accuracy
Monitors psychotropic behavior sheets and makes recommendations as needed
Complete performance evaluations of all licensed nurses, mediation aides and CNAs
Notify Supervisor/Administrator of incident reports concerning abuse
Thoroughly investigate any complaints and concerns and report to Administrator
Attend all assigned committee meetings
Review incident report documentation and ensures follow-up according to facility policy
Make rounds to verify clinical compliance and quality of care and provide coaching and disciplinary action as indicated within the facilities policies and procedures
Ensures all Life Enrichment programs/QA monitors are implemented on assigned units
Perform change nurse duties, in cases of staffing emergencies, as required to meet the residents immediate needs
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Texas LVN or RN
Demonstrated supervisory and managerial skills; minimum 1 year experience
Knowledge of current professional nursing theory and practice
Excellent technical, assessment and documented skills
Ability to organize workflow, respond to emergencies and note detail
Ability to maintain a positive, stable disposition in performing work in association with staff and residents
Ability to maintain a high level of performance in an environment of frequent demands and changes
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform Essential Duties
