Job Overview
The Assistant Early Childhood Educator will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, high energy, and safe learning environment. You will play a key role in implementing play based learning activities that foster curiosity, literacy, and social skills in young learners. This role requires a blend of maternal care and professional pedagogical techniques.
Responsibilities
Assist in delivering lessons focused on basic literacy, numeracy, and sensory development using the Learning through Play methodology.
Set up learning centers like reading corners, art stations, and building blocks, and prepare teaching aids like flashcards and charts before students arrive.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children during indoor classroom time, outdoor play, and meal breaks.
Help children navigate social interactions, teaching them how to share, resolve conflicts, and manage their emotions.
Assist the lead educator in documenting individual student milestones and identifying any developmental delays or behavioral concerns.
Support children in developing basic life skills and healthy habits, such as handwashing, tidying up toys, and following a daily schedule.
Help maintain communication logs for parents regarding their child’s daily activities, appetite, and general mood.
Requirements
Minimum education required: Intermediate (FA/FSc/ICS/I.Com).
01 year Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Montessori Teaching, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 03 years of teaching experience specifically within an early years or preschool setting.
Fluency in Urdu; basic English proficiency is preferred for bilingual instruction.
Age Limit: 18 – 30 years.
Ability to stay engaged and active with energetic toddlers throughout the day.
Skill in using puppetry, singing, and expressive reading to capture children’s imaginations.
Calm demeanor when handling repetitive questions, tantrums, or slow learners.
Strong focus on maintaining a sanitized and clutter-free environment for health and safety.
