Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Engineer (Telemetry) to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telemetry systems. The ideal candidate will assist in field and laboratory activities related to data acquisition, remote monitoring, and instrumentation while working closely with senior engineers to ensure reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telemetry systems.
- Support the setup, configuration, and testing of sensors, data loggers, PLCs, and communication devices.
- Monitor telemetry equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
- Assist in collecting, validating, and analyzing field data from remote monitoring systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues in both field and laboratory environments.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and engineering standards.
- Provide technical support during site visits and system commissioning.
- Perform any other engineering-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BE/BS) in:
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- or another relevant engineering discipline.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of telemetry systems and remote monitoring.
- Understanding of sensors, data loggers, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for electronic and instrumentation equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of communication technologies such as GSM/GPRS, Ethernet, RS-232/RS-485, or Modbus is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for field assignments when required.
Experience
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience in telemetry, instrumentation, automation, or related engineering fields will be considered an advantage.
Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
