Position Overview
Volente Beach Resort is seeking a fun,happy,hands-on,experienced ,and committed Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role is central to ensuring the beauty smooth operation, safety and longevity of our water park, restaurant, bungalows, and surrounding property. The Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager will work directly with the Facility Maintenance Manager and will collaborate closely with vendors, contractors and staff to maintain a safe clean fully operational venue.

Key Responsibilities
Aquatic Systems & Safety
- Monitor and maintain water quality across all pools; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by understanding the requirements and execute against those
- Maintain aquatic systems including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to aquatic operations
- Maintain required documentation for safety and compliance audits
- Ensure pools are kept clean and look pristine throughout the year
- Identify, recommend and implement improvements to the Aquatic Systems to ensure great customer experiences and compliance with insurances.
Facility Maintenance
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general infrastructure for restaurant, waterpark, bungalows, and common areas
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
- Supervise and execute on landscape maintenance across the property, including adjacent parking lot
- Ensure the facility is always up to code and safe for employees and guests
- Where needed paint, replace/ repair, improve all areas of the property
- Support / Lead improvement projects around the property not limited to obtaining competitive quotes and or build it yourself.
- Overall responsible for cleanliness of the property / execute and oversee janitorial tasks
Team & Contractor Management
- Be part of a small in-house maintenance team either permanent, contracted or seasonal
- Work with and manage external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services
- Promote a collaborative and proactive team environment
Operations & Administration
- Coordinate and oversee all inspections, safety checks, and permitting processes
- Prepare maintenance reports, track work orders, and manage maintenance-related budgets
- Prioritize and address urgent facility issues while maintaining long-term facility upkeep plans
- Participate in strategic planning for infrastructure improvements
- Always keep customers in mind
Minimum Preferred Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facility and/or aquatic maintenance
- Familiarity with pool chemistry, filtration systems, and general mechanical troubleshooting
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO), or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak season
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications - NOT Required
- Experience in waterpark, theme park, or similar hospitality facility
- Prior experience managing staff or contractors
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and relevant safety regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
