HERE’S HOW YOU’LL FIT.
The Assistant Finance Director Role is responsible for assisting the CFO in the coordination and execution of assigned projects. In this role, the Assistant Finance Director is responsible for sound, proper and timely execution of all assigned work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive all aspects of the budgeting and actual reporting process

Collaborate with various finance, accounting and other business teams to prepare long-range planning, annual budgeting, reforecasting, and quarterly financial forecasting through financial modeling

In charge of the monthly close and actual reporting including analysis of revenue/billings and expense/accruals, prepare/review journal entries, intercompany mismatch clearing, complete/review monthly actual report

Maintain and continuously update a rolling 13-week cash flow model to accurately project short-term liquidity, working capital fluctuations

Collaborate with cross-functional departments & other BU to align the forecast with upcoming payroll, intercompany payments

Oversee the end-to-end billing and collections processes, lead weekly AR reviews, tracking aging reports, issuing customer invoices, and resolving billing discrepancies promptly

Manage the full-cycle AP process, ensuring all vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports are accurately processed and approved

Prepare financials reports, analyses and reconciliations required to support management decision-marking

Prepare data-driven reporting and management overviews, including Revenue Tracker, Utilization Tracker, Freelance Tracker, T&E Tracker, Subscription Tracker, Revenue Decks, monthly financial reviews, and time-tracking compliance reports, delivering actionable insights to support management decision-making

Create presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders

Monitor and analyze industry trends and peer/competitor fundamentals, including financial performance

Support other special projects as directed or determined on own initiatives

Manage the provision of information to support internal and external audits

Ensure compliance with Company policies and Procedures

Support and maintain current ERP applications, including NetSuite, by setting up new vendors and processing freelancer onboarding and payment requests.

Prepare and submit weekly vendor payment lists to Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate processing

Foster a positive relationship with key team members at all levels of the organization

Handle assigned work requests in an efficient, timely manner

Maintain communications with appropriate agency and client personnel to ensure that the assigned work is handled in a positive, timely and efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields preferred
-
5+ Year of accounting and finance experience
-
CPA preferred but not required
-
Experience with AI tools, automation, or AI-driven financial analysis is highly preferred
-
Highly motivated individual with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to balance multiple tasks and perform under pressure

Strong analytical ability

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups agency-wide

Proactive team player, focus on continuously improving processes

Dependable and flexible to work overtime as needed to meet tight deadlines

Comprehension of Finance and Accounting principles including GAAP, Revenue Recognition, Accrual Accounting, Budget and Profitability analysis

Familiarity using financial reporting, accounting and billing systems

Proficiency with MS Office, Google Enterprise, NetSuite
OTHER SKILLS + ABILITIES

Experience with NetSuite is a plus
