Avesoro is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team based in Istanbul. As an integral member of the Finance Department, you will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing financial operations within our Turkish entities, supporting international mining, logistics, and trading activities across the group.

You will be responsible for managing bank operations, including guarantee letters, foreign currency transactions, and payment processes, while ensuring compliance with both local regulations and group financial policies. Additionally, you will contribute to cash flow planning, intercompany reconciliation, and financial reporting, acting as a key liaison between the Turkish finance team and group headquarters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the daily cash and bank transactions of the group’s Turkish subsidiaries (trading, service, and investment companies).
  • Prepare payment schedules, verify payment requests, and follow up on approval processes.
  • Manage relationships with local banks, including account management, instruction submissions, and FX transactions.
  • Prepare and update weekly and monthly cash flow statements and share them with the head office.
  • Execute all financial operations through the ERP system.
  • Ensure timely execution of local statutory obligations such as payroll, SGK, and tax payments.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams during monthly closing periods.
  • Oversee intercompany transfers, funding, and reconciliation within the group.
  • Support compliance with internal financial control procedures and contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and reporting, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury departments within corporate environments.
  • Preferably with Big Four audit firm experience.
  • Preferably experienced in group company structures, trading firms, or import/export operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Logo).
  • Strong command of daily banking and payment operations, FX transactions, and tax procedures.
  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken); French language skills are a strong asset.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in financial reporting.
  • A team player, capable of taking responsibility and managing end-to-end financial processes.
  • Located in Istanbul and able to commute comfortably to the company’s Maslak office.
