Assistant Financial Controller

This is a pivotal role for a professional who is ready to move beyond standard accounting and into the realm of financial leadership. You will work side-by-side with the Financial Controller to maintain the fiscal integrity that fuels our brand's success.

Your Strategic Impact

• Financial Reporting: Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring that financial statements are accurate, insightful, and strictly compliant with IFRS.
• Operational Oversight: Review and optimize the daily workflows of the A/P, A/R, and payroll functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Tax Management: Manage the company's profile on the Dhareeba portal, overseeing Corporate Tax schedules and preparing for future indirect tax shifts.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in the creation of annual budgets and conduct deep-dive variance analysis to help department heads manage their resources effectively.
• Internal Audit & Control: Conduct regular internal reviews to ensure our standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed and company assets are protected.
• Liaison & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and assist in managing relationships with banks and local government authorities.

Who You Are

• The Professional: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. You are part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CPA, or CMA).
• The Experience: 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a multi-entity or high-growth environment in Qatar.
• The Technical Expert: You have a strong command of ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and are an advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• The Analyst: You have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to spot trends within data that others might miss.
• The Communicator: You possess excellent English communication skills. You can explain financial results to non-financial managers with clarity and professional poise.
• The Local Expert: Familiarity with Qatar’s Commercial Companies Law and General Tax Authority (GTA) regulations is essential.
