Assistant Financial Controller

Hokej is a growing and dynamic organization committed to financial discipline, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. As we expand our presence in Qatar, we are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Assistant Financial Controller to support our finance leadership team in Lusail.

Role Overview
The Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting processes. This position is ideal for a finance professional looking to step into a more senior leadership track while contributing to accurate and timely financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support the Financial Controller in overseeing accounting operations and reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and local regulatory requirements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Monitor general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
• Support internal and external audit processes and documentation
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making
• Help strengthen internal control systems and financial procedures
• Track cash flow, expenses, and working capital performance
• Collaborate with finance team members to improve reporting efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
