SALARY: $95,764

DUTIES: Leads and manages all Training Division operations, including personnel supervision, scheduling, budgeting, payroll oversight, facility maintenance, recruit and incumbent training programs, and compliance with departmental policies, OSHA, NFPA, and state standards. Develops and delivers training, maintains lesson plans and records, tracks certification and annual training requirements, and evaluates operational readiness through emergency response observation. Responds to fires, hazardous materials incidents, and major emergencies, serving in command staff roles as needed, including Incident Commander, safety officer, or acting Chief. Directs critical incident operations, evacuation efforts, and coordination with department and city leadership while ensuring firefighter safety, accountability, and operational effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

• Minimum 2 years' experience at or above the rank of Captain (or equivalent)
• Must meet NFPA 1001, 1021, and 1041 training standards
• Must pass medical and physical fitness requirements established by the City of Bowling Green
• Valid driver's license required
• Knowledge of City geography, applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations required
