Job Summary:

Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Outgoing & Energetic Assistant Food Service Director to join our team! As a key member of our dietary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional care and attention in their dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the food service staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

• Develop and implement menus, budgets, and food service programs that meet the needs of our residents

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

• Manage inventory, ordering systems, and resident profile/production systems

• Provide training to food service staff on new procedures, policies, and equipment

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards

Requirements:

• Advanced degree preferred

• ServSafe Certified Required

• One year of management experience in a healthcare setting preferred

• Knowledge of inventory, ordering systems, and resident profile/production systems required

• Experience in all duties in the dietary department, including scheduling/education/discipline, dietary aide, and cook duties

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
