Position Summary
The Assistant General Counsel will act as a true generalist, advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters in support of Minaris’ CDMO and Testing businesses. This role will support Minaris’ business functions with timely and pragmatic legal advice, serving as the General Counsel’s primary legal partner responsible for advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters and supporting the General Counsel in managing day-to-day legal operations.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance across all business functions, including commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.

Manage and lead litigation, disputes, and investigations, including coordination with outside counsel.

Review and approve external-facing communications and materials, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and mitigating legal risk.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and other legal documents.

Develop and implement practical legal processes, playbooks, and risk management strategies to support business objectives.

Serve as a trusted partner to business leaders, balancing risk management with enabling growth.

Supervise outside counsel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal services.

Support corporate governance, compliance, and reporting obligations as needed.

Education & Experience

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

7+ years of legal experience, with at least 4 years at a leading law firm.

Broad-based generalist legal background with demonstrated experience in litigation management and commercial contracting.

Experience advising on regulated industries (life sciences) strongly preferred.

Prior in-house counsel experience is desirable but not necessary for the right person.
