Assistant General Manager

What You'll Do

Lead the restaurant with presence, clarity, and heart.

  • Create an environment where guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for
  • Run a high-volume restaurant while maintaining thoughtful hospitality
  • Lead service and support the team during busy shifts
  • Inspire and mentor a diverse group of hospitality professionals
  • Uphold the standards that make the ala experience consistent and memorable
  • Identify talent, coach your team, and help them grow in their careers
  • Solve problems thoughtfully and improve systems that strengthen operations
  • Build relationships with the surrounding community and represent the restaurant beyond its walls

You likely have:

  • Experience managing in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing your composure
  • Exceptional communication skills with both guests and team members
  • A natural ability to engage people and create connection
  • A mindset rooted in accountability, respect, and continuous improvement

What the Work Looks Like

Hospitality is dynamic, and so is this role.

Managers may be required to:

  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Stand for extended periods during service
  • Lift and move restaurant supplies up to 45 pounds
  • Work around hot, cold, and high-energy kitchen environments
  • Use restaurant systems, phones, and computers as part of daily operations

Experience

  • 2–3 years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • Hospitality or Restaurant Management degree is a plus, but not required

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
