We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence across our retail locations. In this pivotal role, you will support the store’s leadership team in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Duties

  • Assist in overseeing all store functions, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
  • Lead and supervise staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to promote a high-performing team
  • Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a skilled workforce
  • Coordinate shift management, scheduling, and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Conduct inventory control activities such as stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing adjustments, and shrink reduction
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales management, and reporting; ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing
  • Implement marketing initiatives to boost sales and enhance store visibility within the community

Experience

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong background in retail math, sales management, and budgeting to meet financial goals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster positive customer interactions
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee training & development, merchandising, inventory control, and POS systems
  • Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is an added advantage
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years AGM or IHG experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
