Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South is seeking an enthusiastic, service-driven Assistant General Manager to join our award-winning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest service, team development, and operational excellence.
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and ensure an exceptional experience for both guests and team members. You will play a key leadership role in driving guest satisfaction, supporting team development, and ensuring the hotel operates efficiently while upholding Hilton brand standards.
- Support daily operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services departments
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and company policies
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Maintain high levels of team engagement, accountability, and morale
- Serve as Manager on Duty and confidently lead the hotel in the absence of the General Manager
- Minimum of 1 year of hotel leadership experience as an Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar supervisory role in a focused-service or full-service hotel
- Experience with Hilton brands is preferred but not required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable providing performance feedback and holding team members accountable
- Proficiency with hotel systems, Microsoft Office, and basic business math
- Ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement and drive results
