About the Role
The Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Liberty Park is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the overall leadership and daily operations of the hotel.
This role partners closely with the General Manager to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and consistent delivery of Hilton brand standards.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who is results-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services
Drive guest satisfaction scores by ensuring exceptional service delivery and resolving escalated guest concerns
Support revenue management strategies and help optimize occupancy, ADR, and overall hotel performance
Monitor financial performance, labor costs, and departmental budgets
Lead, coach, and develop department managers and team members
Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, policies, and procedures
Conduct regular property inspections to maintain quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff
Step in as acting General Manager in the GM’s absence
Qualifications (Required)
Minimum 3+ years of hotel management experience (Assistant GM, Front Office Manager, or similar leadership role)
Proven track record of improving guest satisfaction and operational performance
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing multiple departments within a hotel
Ability to lead teams, hold accountability, and drive results
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Hilton brands (Hilton Garden Inn strongly preferred)
Knowledge of Hilton systems (PEP)
Experience in select-service or focused-service hotels
