Assistant General Manager – Human Resources

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AGM – HR to lead the Human Resources function and drive people initiatives that align with overall business goals. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end HR operations, talent management, compliance, and performance systems to support growth and organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define yearly and quarterly manpower plans and HR department budgets.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment — from sourcing and interviews to final selection.
  • Oversee onboarding and induction for smooth new hire integration.
  • Formulate and implement HR policies, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Establish performance management systems with KRAs, KPIs, and appraisals.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and create annual training plans and calendars.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Integrate HR processes with ERP/HRMS for data accuracy and analytics.
  • Manage disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Keep the HR team updated with market trends and build their capabilities.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across all teams.
  • Prepare and present HR MIS reports and analytical insights to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Any Graduate (MBA in HR preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in HR leadership roles
