Assistant Group Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Group Supervisor to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in overseeing classroom activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help foster positive developmental experiences for children while maintaining high standards of care and education. Duties

  • Assist the Group Supervisor in managing daily classroom operations, ensuring smooth transitions and organized activities
  • Support implementation of age-appropriate curriculum focusing on childhood development, preschool learning, and early education principles
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to promote safety and positive behavior management
  • Engage with children through interactive play, teaching basic skills, socialization techniques, and fostering creativity
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment by following health and safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Collaborate with team members to observe individual needs of children with disabilities or special education requirements
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress and daily experiences

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices and classroom management techniques
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or babysitting settings
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to provide first aid and respond calmly to emergencies involving infants or toddlers
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to support caregiving routines such as infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
