Assistant Hotel Maintenance Engineer - Silver City, NM

Lodging Host Hotel Corp is looking for a competent Assistant Maintenance Engineer to maintain our historic Murray Hotel location.

You will be part of the Maintenance team responsible for ensuring the upkeep and/or repair of the location as needed. An excellent maintenance engineer must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have technical skills and general knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, etc. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
• Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
• Ensure adherence to brand quality standards and national, state, and local health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience as maintenance engineer or similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
• An eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma required; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
• Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
