Key Responsibilities

Assist with onboarding new hires, including identity verification, Form I-9 completion, and E-Verify processing.
- Support the HR/IT Manager with weekly and biweekly payroll preparation and submission.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for ownership and supervisors.
- Maintain OSHA logs and ensures compliance with workplace safety documentation.
- Manage and track claims related to workers’ compensation, disability, Paid Family Leave (PFL), FMLA, unemployment insurance, and employee benefits.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Monitor employment law updates and ensure required workplace postings remain current and compliant.
- Provide administrative and customer service support to office staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience supporting mobile device troubleshooting (e.g., iPads) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Comfort supporting both software and hardware troubleshooting in a business environment.
Communication & Analytical Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and prepare reports, manuals, and correspondence.
- Ability to perform basic business math, including percentages and ratios.
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, use hands, and communicate effectively.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or lift to 25 pounds.
