Job Summary:
SAM Logistics (Pvt.) Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Import Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing import operations, customs documentation, shipment coordination, and compliance with import regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and customs authorities.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
- Prepare and maintain import records, invoices, and shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies.
- Follow up on shipment status and resolve operational issues.
- Support the Import Manager in daily operational activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in import operations, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.
- Knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
