Assistant Import Officer

Job Summary:

SAM Logistics (Pvt.) Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Import Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing import operations, customs documentation, shipment coordination, and compliance with import regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and customs authorities.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
  • Prepare and maintain import records, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies.
  • Follow up on shipment status and resolve operational issues.
  • Support the Import Manager in daily operational activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in import operations, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.
  • Knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
