Interior Design Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist design consultants in creating design concepts using SketchUp, mood boards, and PowerPoint presentations
• Source materials, furniture, fixtures, and accessories for design projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare drawings, renderings, and specifications as needed.
• Assist in space planning, layout, and furniture arrangement.
• Maintain project documentation and update project files.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and organizing design samples.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience or internship in interior design is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics.
• Knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques is a plus.
• Portfolio showcasing design projects or work samples is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
