Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal care and be able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including the care and handling of animals, ensuring their well-being, and assisting with daily operations in the kennel.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday ~ 9:00am - 3pm (flexible)

Duties - Assist the Kennel Tech with the following:

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by performing regular cleaning duties.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
• Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
• Support pet owners by providing excellent customer service and addressing their inquiries.
• Help with the training and socialization of dogs to promote good behavior.
• Perform heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies as required.
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and any incidents that occur during shifts.

Requirements

• Experience in dog handling or kennel work is preferred. However, on-the-job training is available.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the day.

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: $8.00 - $9.00 per hour
